  2. Try to use the software to systematize your projects.  Don't try to organize them on some paper or whiteboard or even little notes.  The project management software actually has a lot of features that can make organization easier to do.  The software can help your organize your project tasks accurately, identify the predecessor and successor relationships in the project tasks, allocate the necessary resources,  calculate task durations, milestones and critical dates. Take advantage of these features and make sure you know how to use them very well.
  3. If you tend to manage the same projects time and again, use the project management software's template feature.  This will make organization faster and easier.  You will also be able to teach your team members that projects how projects should always be organized and how the sequence should go when you try to systematize the steps. 
  4. Use the project management software systematically and keep it a habit to use the software when you manage all your projects.  Practice and familiarization makes perfect.
  5. For team managers, it is very important to ensure that all of your members actually know the project management techniques being employed for a certain project.  This will assure you that they can also become efficient efficient of the software.  You would not want people under you organizing the project tasks or allocating the resources without really knowing what to do.
  6. Share with your team member the schedule and all the resource allocation details as shown in the project management software.  Of course you don't want to put on them the extra load to learn the software itself, but you also wouldn't want to load them with a lot of paperworks to read or online reports to check.  You should find it most convenient to share information through the project management software.  You can very well take advantage of the networking technology provided in most firms.
  7. If you have members who tend to slack off the entire project.  Try to find a way to blend these slack team members into the picture so that they are not reflected in the reports.
